How we report — While You Were Out

🔎 1. Facts first

Every story must be reported by at least two independent, established news organizations before we include it. Where possible, one of them is a wire service such as the Associated Press or Reuters.
We don't break news or report rumors. Social media posts, anonymous accounts and single-source claims are not enough on their own.
Numbers (casualties, vote counts, prices, statistics) are checked against the original source — an official agency, court record or company filing — whenever one exists.

⚖️ 2. Every side

For political and contested stories, we check coverage from outlets across the spectrum — left, center and right — using independent media-bias ratings such as AllSides and Ad Fontes Media as a guide.
When sides disagree, we describe each position the way its own supporters would, and we say clearly which parts are established fact and which are opinion or claims.
We don't use loaded labels or tell you what to think. Our job is to inform, not persuade.

Confirmed — independently verified by multiple reliable sources.
Developing — the core event is confirmed, but details are still changing.
Disputed — credible sources disagree on key facts; we explain what each says.

🔗 4. Sources cited

Every briefing on this site lists the reporting behind each story, with a link, so you can read the original and judge for yourself. Each video's description links back to its briefing page.

🤖 5. How it's made

We use AI tools to help gather, summarize and produce each edition quickly. Every story is still held to the sourcing rules above, and AI-generated voices or visuals are labeled as required by each platform.

✍️ 6. Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it as soon as we can and record it on our corrections page — what was wrong, what's right, and when it changed. We don't quietly edit mistakes away.
